ZZIFT: Zygote Intrafallopian TransferThe procedure of Zygote Intra-fallopian transfer takes approximately five weeks, and works to treat infertility. First, the egg cells from the ovary are taken out. Then in vitro fertilization occurs, and the new zygote is replaced into the fallopian tube. There are many treatments that include a transfer similar to the one that occurs in ZIFT, except that ZIFT uniquely occurs in the fallopian tubes.
